Generate a contact sheet from a folder of images with customizable grid.

About This Script

Creates professional contact sheets from a folder of images. Configure the grid layout (columns x rows), spacing between images, margin around the sheet, and background color. Each image cell can include labels showing filename, dimensions, file size, and date. The script supports custom headers and footers with project name and page numbers. Multiple pages are created automatically if images exceed one sheet. Output can be saved as PSD, PDF, or JPG. Perfect for photographers presenting work to clients, asset managers cataloging image libraries, and designers creating mood boards.

How to Install

Method 1 — Run directly

  1. Download the .jsx file
  2. Open Illustrator
  3. Go to File > Scripts > Other Script...
  4. Select the downloaded .jsx file
  5. The script runs immediately

Method 2 — Install permanently

  1. Copy the .jsx file to the Scripts folder:
  2. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version]\Presets\en_US\Scripts\
  3. Restart Illustrator
  4. Find the script under File > Scripts > Contact Sheet Builder

How do I run this script?
