About This Script

Select any number of objects and apply random fill colors instantly. Choose from three modes: (1) Full random spectrum for vibrant variety, (2) Custom palette where you define specific colors to randomize from, or (3) Harmonic mode that generates colors within a hue range for cohesive results. Supports fill color, stroke color, or both. Great for generative art, pattern design, data visualization mockups, and creating colorful compositions quickly.

How to Install

Method 1 — Run directly

Download the .jsx file
Open Illustrator
Go to File > Scripts > Other Script...
Select the downloaded .jsx file
The script runs immediately

Method 2 — Install permanently

Copy the .jsx file to the Scripts folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [version]\Presets\en_US\Scripts\
Restart Illustrator
Find the script under File > Scripts > Random Fill Colors

How do I run this script?
